Avant-garde Emporium is the realization of the childhood dream of proprietor and shopkeeper, Geraldine Leyenhorst. Born in the Village of Jordan, she came home at the turn of the century to establish herself and her favourite kind of store in a location remembered for holding all sorts of unique and wonderful treasures over the years, and boasting the most beautiful views over the valley of the 20 Mile Creek.
Step down through the bright yellow front door and you'll be surprised and delighted. You'll hear a friendly greeting with a smile in it and then be left to explore, to touch, to feel and smell, to play. This is a place where you can relax and lose track of time, or, if you're in a hurry and need to be somewhere 5 minutes ago, you'll get friendly service that knows how to be quick! And you'll leave with a purchase sure to please or a gift that is ready to give and will be wonderful to receive.
We'll ship, bundle for travel, gift bag, or let you go without a bag if you wish. We'll do our best to source tough-to-find items for you, we'll 'special order' for you, we'll keep you informed on orders in process, and we'll deliver when requested.
