Well known to designers, and designer home decor retailers, the focus is on smaller scale pieces that lose nothing in comfort and promise to become family favourites that continue to move around the house long after everything else is moved to the curb or put on Craig's List. Home Decor is an everchanging, constantly new experience at Avant-garde Emporium.
We strive to continually source fresh wall art in print, poster, banner, metal, and multi-media presentations. You'll find all kinds of candle and tealight wall pieces, sconces and really unusual indoor and outdoor wall and fence art.
We also keep up an interesting assortment of lamps and other lights. Again, this is a category that changes all the time as we run into really unique, limited run, lighting ideas. Another reason to come often and see what's "in store." It's always a surprise - even to us!
Come to us for a nice selection of toss cushions (we lean toward zippered, removable covers and really good, Canadian made 100% polyester fillers) and top-quality throws that won't be at the Outlet or Big Box Stores cus' they're just too cool to end up there.
When it comes to lanterns, centrepieces, candle stands and sticks and all sorts of unique tealight holders, we're your store! We believe the tealight to be one of the best inventions of the 20th century! Safe, easy to remove and replace, affordable and they stay lit for just the right amount of time!
We also carry an amazing line of Made in Germany tapers, votives and pillar candles. You will not believe how cleanly and perfectly a candle can burn until you try one of these - and then you'll never, ever go back to anything else. Absolutely incredible!!! Accent Furniture is one of our biggest selling categories. Wood, iron, metal and glass, painted, stained, even unfinished. Imported from around the world and handcrafted close to home. Accent tables of all kinds, cabinets, nesters, hallway pieces, wine racks, mirrors of all kinds, bookcases ... name it. As long as you're not looking for the "same old, same old" we just may become your best source! If you don't see what you're looking for, talk to us. We have lots of wonderful suppliers to work with and will do everything we can to help you find what you're looking for. We also LOVE to warehouse shop and will regularly stock one-of-a-kind sample pieces and/or ends of lines and we always pass our good deals on to you.

Who doesn't love to spend time in a garden, even if it isn't your own? Some of us only have a tiny balcony, or porch to work with. Some of us have more garden than we can handle and some of us have our garden on our kitchen window sill. A window can be the beginning of a garden.
