Kitchen & Bath
While not pretending to be either a kitchen or a bath shop, as an Emporium (remember the definition?), we couldn't resist adding these 2 categories. After all, these are probably the two most important rooms in our homes and they call for good, practical design, and highly functioning, quality doodads. But to turn our bathrooms and kitchens into places we enjoy spending time we need to look "outside the (Big) Box" and think about what makes us smile, and relax and let the inner child out! This will result in more singing in the shower and much more creative stir fry's to share with friends and family.
For us this required learning about a huge new world of products so rather than trying to be specialists in either of these areas we focused on looking for really good products that:
- Are not everywhere else.
- Solve a problem
- Are well designed, good quality and priced right.
- Or, are just way too wonderful or fun to be overlooked and had to be part of the mix.
To that end we continually strive to add new products to both of these categories and we await your reaction with fear and trembling ... seriously. When we blow it, it hurts! So, if there's something you love that you drive way too far to get, or spend way too much money having shipped to you, please tell us about it! We will listen! We have listened. There are currently several products in both our kitchen and bath sections that are doing well and are there because our customers asked for them. To name a few:
- Wall Talk (this needs to come with a warning! It's inspiring and addictive! You can put it on mirrors, walls, furniture...)
- E-clothes (Wow! Come and see our windows and mirrors and glass display cabinets and decide for yourself! - no cleaning products required - just water)
- Toilet paper stands that also hold magazines (Why did it take so long for someone to come up with this one?) We carry standing floor models and wall mount versions.
- The Garlic Twist. Seriously the best thing that ever happened to me in the kitchen. Come and ask me why and you'll get yours at a 15% discount - oh, and according to our customers we sell them for less than the Kitchen places - Ssssshhhh).
- Umbra's Duo Pump - just a very nice way to help keep the counter clean and organized. A lovely design that holds both lotion and soap and looks amazing while it works.
- Tea cozy's and Micro-mitts - These are Canadian-made. Some of you may purchase them at the One-of-a-kind Show in Toronto where you have to pay to park and walk a long, long ways before you even get to the first set of doors - whew!!! We keep them in stock year round.
- REALLY GOOD SOAP! Again, we listened and sourced an amazing line of triple-milled soaps still being made Provence, France. Absolutely lovely ... Smelling is believing.
